UMPHREY'S MCGEE // COLA SC // FINAL ART

Here is the final art for the Columbia poster, it is set up to be a 4 color print - I think these colors are going to totally scream in person!

UMPHREY'S MCGEE // COLA SC // POSTER CONCEPTS

Here are a few rough ideas for the poster:

There's a local legend that a lizard man inhabits the swamps surrounding the midlands - here we have found him leaning on an old growth cypress tree and jamming on a guitar.

This idea is inspired by some of the spacier Parliament style aesthetics from the 70s - a sort of retro-futuristic galactic style with this giant three eyed hologram lady being projected into the sky from a mysterious planet below.

Summer in the south is full of nature and all kinds of critter - this would be a mandala inspired design with various insects, flowers, leaves, and other decorative elements emanating out from the band name in the center. This could look cool done in a more minimal, geometric style.

One of the notable features of Columbia is the river that runs through it - this would be a sort of pyschadelic take on it with a bright swirling river of color coming out of a floating pair of lips. The river is framed by a colorful assortment of plants and flowers with a heron (common to the area) fishing in the center. This direction would look really cool with some super bright flourescent colors.
