UPDATE 5/16

UPDATE WITH DARKER TYPE:

FINAL ART:

Here is the artwork for tour poster, tried to keep this one really simple and bold.  It is a 3 color print, final print colors may vary slightly since we are using transparent inks to achieve some of these colors. I really love how this one turned out I think its going to look great printed.

more concepts:

a bit more summery like the reference you sent over.

a dense nature scene with various st paul instruments popping out - this would look awesome in some bright summery colors.

a stylish and minimal approach - it could be interesting to to execute these illustrations in a collage style with various materials and patterns.

ST PAUL TOUR POSTER CONCEPTS

Here are a few ideas for the tour poster:

inspired by the lyrics to Crumbling Light Posts - a lone light post sticking up from a vast sea, the sky could get a cool cosmic treatment.

two hands reaching towards each other from some weird black hole / portal things - a nod to the famous 'creation of adam' painting. There would be some cool light rays exploding out from the center, with a swirling, trippy cosmic background.

This idea is inspired by some of the spacier Parliament style aesthetics from the 70s - a sort of retro-futuristic galactic style with this giant three eyed hologram lady being projected into the sky from a mysterious planet below.

Another retro-futuristic landscape with a giant kubrick-inspired esoteric monolith floating above the ground. It would be cool to execute this in a kind of collage style similar to what you'll see below...

I threw this together really quickly while researching imagery for the monolith idea - just a cool kind of surrealistic collage. The bands name could go in the white circle and the dates could be lined up in the bottom right. It could be cool to mess with adding some abstract geometric shapes into this image.
