ISBELL SHIRT CONCEPTS

Here are a handful of ideas for a shirt:

A classic thunderbird design - inspired by this awesome old hotel sign I pass on the interestate sometimes...

Classic heart+knife

molotov cocktail - inspired by the song!

snake head + laurel + pocket knife

The above seal & below would be a front + back combo. Inspired by vintage automotive speed shops, and the blue collar shop shirts they have. An old school look complete with catch phrases, an address, phone number, services offered etc... Like something you'd find at goodwill from the late 70s.

ISBELL TOUR POSTER CONCEPTS PT 2

Here are a few more ideas based on the images you sent over:

A nighthawks inspired roadside dining scene with big full moon. I think a dark, monochromatic color scheme could give this a really nice atmosphere.

A late july fireworks display over the treeline. Each little explosion would be different. It could be cool to figure out a way to work the tour dates into the fireworks... I'd like to do it in a style similar to these old japanese woodcuts

Vintage postcard inspired carnival scene. Lots of bright summer colors would be cool for this direction.  The shapes of the different elements combine to suggest the shape of a guitar, a fun somewhat hidden image.

Inspired by the old movie theater admats yous sent over. Each tour date would be its own 'movie' being advertised, one could be a sci fi flick, one a western, all the old movie tropes... It would be really cool to make the poster look like it was cut out of a newspaper - minimal color usage and chunky halftones (kind of like the greenville baseball poster we did earlier)

JASON ISBELL TOUR POSTER CONCEPTS

Here are a few ideas for the tour poster - I really like how the Brooklyn posters we did earlier this year came out and thought something along the same format (central image with type + ornaments surrounding) could work well for a tour poster + shirt concept.

Since the tour is in July I thought something vaguely american/patriotic could be really appropriate. I came up with this eagle/guitar mash up that I think could work great visually.

I think I pitched a similar concept for an earlier poster - referencing the song 'Chaos and Clothes'.  I think a smashed up muscle car could be a really striking image for a poster, I like that it subverts the tough guy fast car gig poster cliche.
