GREENSKY BLUEGRASS FINAL ART
Here is the final art for the logos - there are multiple versions of each for placement on a light or dark background. The maroon/orange color combo is just an example of how it could look not in black & white. Also mocked em up on a few shirts and stuff just for fun...

Greensky Bluegrass logo sketches
Here are a handful of rough concepts for the logo - keep in mind these are still very early in the process, just working through a bunch of ideas. Most of these could be executed in a super clean, simple style that I think would work great for y'all.
I was reading the bands bio and it mentioned that the live show is meant to be a real experience, and an escape for the audience - I thought that a key could be a cool symbol to represent that idea.
Something sketchier or hand-drawn could be cool, and would also subvert the audiences expectations for what a 'bluegrass' logo looks like.
A classic radio antenna with radiating signal lines shooting out of the top.
This direction is inspired by the STEREO bars on old records - this mark would have a really cool vintage feel to it.
This would be a robin (the michigan state bird) - again the key / keyhole symbol makes an appearance.
Some cool geometric & interlocking type - representing all of the intertwining and connecting parts of the music.
A super simple graphic sun on a horizon - the five rays represent the five members of the band.
This concept would be some really clean, simple typography built into a stack of lines - the lines bring to mind the strings of an instrument, or a staff of sheet music.
Again keeping it super simple - a classy custom type treatment locked up in a circle.
A monogram in a simple tree icon - the image shows the 'roots' that the band is growing out of/beyond.
Another super simple idea - some nice clean typography locked up in a pick shape, this one could have a monogram version and a full version that would work together.
