DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE // BERKELEY FINAL ART

Here’s the finished art for the poster - tried to keep everything really simple/light/minimal and surreal feeling. It’s set up to be a 3 color 18x24 print, should look great printed up full size! I’m including a few different options for the type, let us know which one you guys are into and we can get the ball rolling to get these on press.

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE POSTER CONCEPTS

Here are a few rough ideas for the Berkeley poster:

inspired by the lyrics on 'Your Hurricane' - "heaven is a hole in the sky..."

Inspired by lyrics from Autumn Love - "Just leave me floating on the open ocean, And let the moonlight take me anywhere on a tidal flow" - a lone boat floating on a little isometric piece of the ocean, with the moon smiling above.

another, more flat take on the above concept.

A more abstract idea - simple, graphic shapes made of a variety of different colors and textures. Some could contain imagery relating to the overall vibe of the new record.

I've been messing around with this collage style lately and thought it could work really well for this poster. Similar to the above concept, each piece would be a different image all stacked together to create the composition. I'm thinking a Fall inspired color palette could be cool since it relates to it being a september show and the song Autumn Love off the new record.
